"Take care of yourself."
How often do you share these messages with your friends and community (and maybe even yourself)? As "self-care" has become increasingly popular advice, we wonder what it might look like to not only focus on self-care, but also how we can care for each other with more intention. In a country that is set up to support constant isolation, coming together is a radical act.
Join us for this dinner where we'll be nourishing our body and our soul while envisioning and practicing collective care through storytelling, listening, and other creative ways of actively caring for ourselves and each other. Our intention is for you to leave with practical ways to bring more care and nourishment into your everyday life and the work you do to better the world (and maybe some new friends)!
We'll gather at a private location in the Embarcadero District of San Francisco, CA (that is close to BART).
There will be vegetarian food with vegan/gluten free options homemade with love by Cameron + Andréa (cofounders of Whole / Self Liberation).
There will also be a community altar (so bring something that reminds you of connection or community to contribute! You can take it home with you after.)
Price: Sliding Scale ($10-$30)*
No one will be turned away for lack of funds – if you aren't able to pay this price, but you'd love to come, reach out to us at email@example.com!
If you are able to give a higher amount on this sliding scale, we would so appreciate it! This allows us to continue doing this work in a sustainable and accessible way.
Speaking of accessibility, the space is not completely wheelchair accessible. While there is an elevator to enter the space, the only bathroom is at the top of a tall flight of stairs. If you'd like to join us, but this is an issue for you, we apologize! Reach out to us and let us know if there's anything we can do to make this possible for you.
(This button will take you to our PayPal.me link! Enter the number you'd like to pay and we'll get in touch with you from there! Please put "dinner" or "dinner + workshop" if you're going to both in the note section.)
